What does professional conduct look like in today’s workplace?
Employees navigate a world of dating apps, social media, and casual banter—then step into workplaces where they’re expected to maintain professional boundaries. This course tackles that daily contrast head-on, using a straight-talk approach, realistic scenarios, and concepts like the "Grandma Filter." Combined with impactful content on hostile work environments and quid pro quo harassment, it helps staff recognize how day-to-day conduct plays a vital role in preventing sexual harassment and building a culture of respect.
Engaging eLearning
Realistic, thought-provoking video clips, scenario-based knowledge check questions, and short behavioral assessments drive this powerful eLearning course and emphasize the connection between professional conduct at work and sexual harassment prevention.
Upon completion, learners will be able to:
- Maintain professional conduct in the workplace by using their "Grandma Filter" and asking co-workers to do the same
- Describe the relationship between professional conduct at work and a respectful, harassment-free work environment
- Recognize hostile work environment sexual harassment
- Recognize quid pro quo sexual harassment
- Speak up and report incidents of sexual harassment
Strategic Insights
Data gleaned from the in-course contextual behavioral questions provide impactful insights about your learners’ attitudes, abilities, and intentions in three areas.
- Professional conduct. The ability to filter behaviors for the workplace and maintain or reinforce professional boundaries.
- Psychological safety. The degree to which people feel safe speaking up against harassment.
- Promoting workplace respect. The capability to build and maintain a respectful work environment.
Identify barriers to adopting new behaviors.
Data from organizations using Atana's harassment prevention solution reveals that, even after training, many employees have higher expectations for themselves about maintaining professional boundaries than the expectations they perceive in their company’s culture.
88%
of employees agree maintaining professional boundaries is the right thing to do
74%
of employees feel organizational leaders support efforts to maintain professional boundaries
A disconnect like this can make it harder for employees to apply the learning and speak up against harassment. Actionable insights like this is just one way Atana enables organizations to grow the impact of their organizational initiatives beyond the initial training.
